The first magazine cover was the LeBron James Sports Illustrated magazine cover. I like this one because it portrayed LeBron as larger than life and they did it by the stance they had LeBron him. They put the Sports Illustrated behind him and had everyone know who he is. The second cover is a TIME cover with Barack Obama looking like FDR in a caricature drawing of the President. I liked it because of how they did not use a picture of the President but instead a drawing of him. Once again, since TIME is such a well known brand they were able to put the name behind the artwork. Not all magazines can do this. The final magazine cover is the Bernie Madoff cover from New York magazine. One thing that stands out from a design standpoint is that Madoff is behind the text, unlike the other two designs that I talked about. They also photoshopped Madoff to look like the joker which really catches the eye of people walking by. All of these designs have similarities and differences. | |
